There is a little secret in medicine that I remembered today. Christmas Eve is the best day to be in clinic and the best day to be on call. Very few people want to see their doctor that day and very few call with questions or needs. And EVERYONE is grateful you are in clinic, including the other providers who took off to be with their families. My day was very gratifying and relaxed for that reason.
Of course, by later in the afternoon on Christmas Day, calls start coming in and can get busy. But Christmas Eve is a quiet and sacred time.
And now I am taking the evening off to spend with my husband and dear friends (socially distanced Zoom party, of course).
Please enjoy Keb Mo below and your evening. Remember to stay safe.
Wash your hands, cover your hands, keep safe six, and enjoy!
