Jamie and I are in western Montana, rainy and cool. It is a welcome break with little cell phone coverage.
I give you poetry today. As William Carlos Williams said “It is difficult / to get the news from poems / yet men die miserably every day / for lack / of what is found there.”

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold
